Should I pay the hacker?
Should I really consider paying the hacker who's threatened me with data exposure or system disruption? It's a delicate situation, and I'm torn between the pressure to avoid a costly crisis and the ethical dilemma of rewarding criminal behavior. On one hand, paying could provide a quick fix and minimize the damage, but on the other, it sets a dangerous precedent and encourages future attacks. What's the best course of action here?
